OI!!!! What a day and it's still not over yet! It started out with Becky and I going to pick up one of the kids she sits for so we wouldn't have to wait for the mother to drop her off. We were on a limited time scheduale and had to pick up a gift for Brenden one of the other children Becky sit's for. I had to leave for work at least by 1:00pm to get to work.
Ok so we get to Destiny's house and she's not ready yet, finally she is in the van and we need to get gas because we're almost on empty. Then we're off to Myer to get the birthday presant. And I needed to pick up a couple things for my desk.
So now we have everything and Becky blood suger decides to crash. And needs something to eat. It's now 12:30 and it's cutting a little too close for comfort. We finally get home and I head for work it's now 1:15 I got to work at 1:35 and begin my rounds to get my numbers of the 8 meters that are spread across the plant which has to be done on foot.
Now back in the guard shack to take over, at 2:05 pm. My Job now is to monotor the 300 plus people leaving the plant watch the plastic bags leaving and to stop the people who do not have clear plastic to check them, answer the insistant radio calls, give directions to the plant to the truck drivers, tell new employees where to go, tell the applicants where the applications are, open the gate for management and others coming and going check paperwork for cash and carry customers coming and going to and from the plant, checking the sales people in and out visiting management, checking in all the truck trailers coming in to make sure they are clean, check the trucks coming out make sure the paper work is correct, check the seal numbers, the QA numbers, write down refer tempertures. transfer all the numbers from the previous two shifts into the computer, answer the CB Radio, lock up the office building at night, and on friday night walk around the whole building and make sure it is completly locked up for the alarm system to be activated, run fire drills, tornado drills, reset alarms when they go off, know all the security systems, and where they are, and what they are. answer the alarm company when they call and beable to give them my security code and know what alarm is going off and why. Attempt to keep saftey problems within a reasonable limit. Which includes speeding inside the gate which is 5 mph, 25 mph up the driveway into the plant and 10mph in the parking area which is ok if I get a chance to see the cars leaving normally will remember a discription of the car and tag it the next day. During all of this I'm suppose eat supper.
My boss as also asked my to get aquainted with the systems at our new plant on hall street and all the stuff they have there! No stress?
